Corinne e Stefan Gfeller, conhecidos artisticamente como Zibbz, vão representar a Suíça no Festival Eurovisão da Canção em Lisboa com a música "Stones". O duo aceitou responder a algumas perguntas feitas pelo Crónicas de Eurofestivais, que agora trazemos em exclusivo para vocês.
Crónicas de Eurofestivais (CE): Falem um pouco sobre vocês. Como se descrevem? O que é que gostam de fazer?
Zibbz: Somos um duo de irmãos suíço - a viver em Los Angeles e Zurique. A viver pela música - sem um plano B. Amamos o que fazemos, mesmo que a vida como música possa ser caótica por vezes, compensa sempre quando nos estamos a apresentar.
CE: Sabemos que vocês são irmãos e partilham a paixão pela música, mas como é que as vossas vidas na música começaram? Fizeram todo este caminho juntos? Como é que os Zibbz começaram?
Zibbz: Os nossos pais conheceram-se numa banda de Rock n Roll. Os dois tocam música também. Nós crescemos a ouvir Rocn n Roll. Blues, Rock e Soul foram sempre grandes inspirações para nós. Nós soubemos que queríamos ser músicos profissionais e estudar e atuar desde novos. Pode ser caótico por vezes, mas compensa sempre quando nos estamos a apresentar e quando lançamos novas músicas.
CE: Como é que a vossa aventura eurovisiva começou? Fazer parte do concurso era um sonho para vocês ou foi algo espontâneo?
Zibbz: Nós costumavamos ver o ESC com a nossa família quando eramos crianças. Nós sempre tivemos em mente actuar no ESC algum dia mas nunca sentimos que o nosso tipo de música/performance tivesse realmente alguma hipótese até aos anos mais recentes, quando mais diversas atuações e músicas começaram a ser mais aceites. Os The Common Linnets são os nossos favoritos até agora!
CE: Qual é a sensação de saberem que vão representar o vosso país em tamanho evento?
Zibbz: Obviamente que existe pressão. Mas nós vemos isso como um desafio e tudo o que podemos fazer é dar o nosso melhor! Nós adoravamos chegar à final, mas isso é com a audiência. Ao representar a Suíça já alcançamos um objetivo, não importa o que vem depois.
CE: Vocês são fãs da Eurovisão? Têm alguma música preferida do concurso?

Zibbz: Claro! Os ABBA são a performance mais legendária, mas os nossos favoritos absolutos são os The Common Linnets.
CE: Como é que descrevem "Stones"?
Zibbz: Escrevemos "Stones" num songwriter-camp com a escritora canadense Laurell Barker. A mensagem é algo que nos move a todos nós de uma maneira profunda e triste, já que é um problema nos dias de hoje. É sobre inclusão, igualdade, diversidade e tolerância. É uma chamada para nos levantarmos contra o bullying e o ódio.
CE: Já estão a planear a vossa performance no palco eurovisivo? Podemos esperar alguma surpresa da performance?
Zibbz: Nós desenhamos um pequeno set-up para a final suíça e nós sabemos que vamos dar 120% e apreciar cada minuto. Isso é tudo o que podemos fazer. O resto é com o público!
CE: Sabemos que é cedo para falar sobre isso, mas o que pensam sobre a semifinal em que a Suíça foi colocada? Acham que a Suíça pode finalmente chegar à final depois de todos estes anos?
Zibbz: Nós definitivamente queremos ver a Suíça na final! Se já aconteceu duas vezes, pode funcionar de novo :)
CE: Quais são as vossas expecativas para a participação na Eurovisão?
Zibbz: Aproveitar cada minuto da corrida que é o ESC.
CE: Já alguma vez visitaram Portugal? O que esperam do nosso país?
Zibbz: Sim, nós visitamos Lisboa durante um dia com os nossos avós há muuuito tempo! Por isso estamos ansiosos por estar lá, experimentar toda a maravilhosa comida e absorver toda a cultura e talvez até apanhar algum sol na praia!
CE: Querem dizer alguma coisa aos nossos leitores e aos fãs portugueses em geral?

Zibbz: We're a swiss sibling duo - living in Los Angeles & Zurich. Living for music – without a plan B. We love what we do and even though life as a musician can be chaotic at times, it always pays off when we get to perform.
CE: I know that you’re siblings and you share the passion for music, but how your life in music began? Have you done all this way together? How “Zibbz” started?
Zibbz: Our parents met in a Rock’n’Roll band. They both play music too. We grew up listening to Rock n Roll. Blues, Rock and Soul was always a big inspiration for us. We knew we wanted to become professional musicians and studied & performed from a young age. It can be chaotic and tough at times but it always pays off when we get to perform and release new music.
CE: How did your Eurovision adventure started? Be part of this contest was a dream for you or it was something spontaneous?
Zibbz: We always used to watch ESC with our family when we were kids. We always had in mind to perform at ESC one day but never felt our kind of music/performance really had a chance until the most recent years when more diverse acts and songs have become more accepted. Common Linnets were our favorite so far!
CE: What’s the feeling of knowing that you’re going to represent your country in such a big event?
Zibbz: Of course there is pressure. But we take it as a challenge and all we can do is to give our best! We would love to get into the finals, but that’s up to the audience. By representing Switzerland we have already achieved goal of ours, no matter the outcome.
CE: Are you an Eurovision fan? Do you have any favourite songs from the contest?
Zibbz: Of course! ABBA is the most legendary performance, but our absolute favourites are Common Linnets.
CE: How do you describe “Stones”?
Zibbz: We wrote «Stones» in a songwrite-camp with the Canadian songwriter Laurell Barker. The message is something which moves us all deeply and sadly still is a problem in today’s world. It's about inclusion, equality, diversity and tolerance. It's a call to stand up against bullying and hate.
CE: Are you already planning your performance on the Eurovision stage? Can we expect any surprise from the performance?
Zibbz: We have designed an amazing little set-up for the Swiss final show and we know we’re going to give 120% and enjoy every minute. That’s all we can do. The rest is up to the audience!
CE: I know is early to talk about this, but what do you think about the semi-final that Switzerland were allocated? Do you think Switzerland can finally reach the final after all this years?
Zibbz: We definitely wanna see Switzerland in the finals! If it happened twice it can work again! :)
CE: What are your expectations for the participation on Eurovision?
Zibbz: To enjoy every minute of the ESC ride!
CE: Have you ever visited Portugal? What do you expect from our country?
Zibbz: Yes we visited Lisbon for one day as kids with our grandparents a looong time ago! So we are looking forward to being there, trying all the amazing food and soaking up all the culture and maybe even catching some sunshine on the beach! ;)
CE: Do you want to say something to our readers and portuguese fans in general?
